So we're finally in! There's still a bit of work to do, with the practice rooms and the recording studios waiting on equipment, but WE'RE IN! and classes have started.
If you've been here before you'll probably notice a few changes, the site name has changed to Space etc.

As part of the Open House Festival Goes on Tour, the amazing John Smith, PøRTS and the Prima String Quartet will be playing in the Studio Theatre SERC Bangor on Monday 2nd March @ 7.30pm. There’s still a few tickets available but you better get moving! This is one gig NOT to be missed. More details HERE
After 10 years in the planning, the new Performing Arts and Technology Innovation Centre has just been given the green light by the DEL Minister Dr Stephen Farry. The £12 million development, set to open in 2015, will also be the new home of SERC-MAPA and feature a 300 seater theatre, dance studio, black box theatre, 2 recording studios, 5 practice rooms and classrooms.Click HERE for more
Now that the timetable has “settled” somewhat, music students can book practice rooms and studios.
Practice Rooms (available to book by all music students)
Tue 9am -11am and 1pm - 5pm, Thur 9am - 11am
Recording Studios (available to book by HND and EDMT2 students only)
Studio1 - Tue 9am - 1pm, and Tue 3.30pm - 9pm
Studio2 - Tue 6pm - 9pm

All work has been completed renovating the recording studios and rehearsal rooms in Bangor with just the Main hall to be completed next week. Renovations of the Studios, Practicerooms and Central Hall are all on target and looking well for reopening after Easter.
The college is spending £400,000 on a make over for the main music and performing arts rooms and one of the first recordings in the new studio will be the latest episode of Live@SERC MAPA featuring the winner of the Kickstart competition run by the lovely people at Chordblossom.
